Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 31, 2026
This policy explains what information CrewSharp ("CrewSharp," "we," "us") collects when you use the CrewSharp website and apps (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers builders (owners and project managers), the subcontractors they work with ("subs"), and visitors to our website.
Information we collect
- Account information. For owners and project managers: name, email, phone number, password (stored only in encrypted form by our authentication provider), company name, company phone, and time zone. For subs who make an optional account: name, trade, phone, email, and how they prefer to be contacted.
- Job information builders enter. Job names, addresses, dates, phases, assignments, invites, punch list items, payment status notes, site visit notes, and similar records.
- Sub information builders enter. A sub's name, trade, and phone number, entered by the builder who works with them.
- Updates and photos. Check-ins (coming, on site, leaving), issues, delays, responses to invites, punch list fixes, notes, and photos that builders and subs submit, with the time they were submitted.
- Technical information. Basic logs our hosting providers keep to run and secure the Service, such as IP address, browser type, and the time of a request. Your browser also stores small settings on your device, such as your sign-in session and language choice.
Location. CrewSharp does not track your location in the background. If we add location features, they will only use your location while you're using the Service and tap a button that says so, and we will update this policy before they're turned on.
How we use information
- To run the Service: show schedules, invites, updates, reports, punch lists, and payment status to the right people.
- To send messages the Service needs, such as sign-in links, password resets, invites, reminders, and alerts.
- To keep the Service secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
- To handle billing when paid plans are active, and to provide customer support.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use builders' job data to advertise to anyone.
Who can see what
- Each company's information is visible only to that company's owners and project managers, and our database enforces this separation.
- A sub's personal link shows that sub only their own invites, punch items, payments, and the job details they need. Anyone who has a sub's link can open it, so subs should treat their link like a key.
- When a sub saves a builder to their optional CrewSharp account, the builder can see that the sub has an account and how the sub prefers to be contacted. Builders can't see a sub's account details or their other builders.
Service providers
We use trusted providers to run the Service. They process information only to provide their services to us:
- Supabase: database, authentication, and photo storage.
- Vercel: website hosting.
- Twilio (when text messaging is turned on): sending and receiving text messages.
- Stripe (when paid plans are turned on): payment processing. We don't store full card numbers.
- An email delivery provider, for sign-in links and notifications.
We may also share information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy will continue to apply.
Text messages
Builders use CrewSharp to send subs invites, reminders, and job updates by text message. Message frequency varies with your work schedule. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. Subs with a CrewSharp account can also choose "no texts" in their profile.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging consent and phone numbers are not shared with any third party except the providers that deliver the messages.
How long we keep information
We keep company and job information for as long as the company's account is active, so builders can look back at past jobs. If a company closes its account, we delete or anonymize its information within 90 days, except where we must keep records for legal, tax, or security reasons.
Your choices
- Owners and project managers can update their name, phone, and password in Account. Owners can edit or delete their company's jobs and subs.
- Subs can edit their profile, remove builders from their account, or delete their account from My CrewSharp. A sub who wants a builder to remove their information should ask that builder, or contact us.
- You can ask us for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct or delete it, by contacting us below.
Security
Information is sent over encrypted connections and stored with our providers, who use industry-standard security. Access is limited by role inside each company. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and keep sub links private.
Children
The Service is for businesses and is not meant for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we make important changes to this policy, we'll update the date above and let account owners know before the changes take effect.
